How it works

Three steps. About a minute.

  1. 1
    Brain dump

Tell it what's looping. The longer, the better.

  2. 2
    See the map

Three scored outcomes with honest probabilities.

  3. 3
    Read the verdict

One sentence that ends the loop.

A spiral, taken apart

This is what you get back.

The spiral as you wrote it

They haven't replied in three days. Did I say something wrong? I keep re-reading the last thing I sent.

#texting#silence#rereading

Pick a tone

The take — balanced

“The thing you're afraid of is unlikely. Send the message anyway — your future self wants you to know.”

Example verdicts. Brutal and Roast go after the spiral, never the person.

01Best caseThey got busy and reply warmly
25percent

Work swallowed their week. They apologise for the gap and pick the thread straight back up.

Reality check — it has happened before, and you weren't upset when you did it to them.

02Likely caseA short, normal reply
65percent

Nothing was wrong. The message simply didn't feel as urgent to them as it does to you.

Reality check — three days feels long only from the waiting side.

03Worst caseThey're pulling back
10percent

Something has shifted — and you find out now, not after another month of guessing.

Reality check — one more message won't cause this, and it would end the not-knowing.

In your control

  • Sending one clear message
  • Putting the phone down after

Out of your control

  • What kind of week they had

A thinking tool, not a therapist.

Overthink This is for self-reflection and entertainment. Everything it says is written by AI: it can be wrong, and it is not medical, psychological or professional advice. It can't diagnose or treat anything.

If you're in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line right now — in the EU, 112. The app points to help when a spiral sounds serious, but it is no substitute for a person.

How we use AI

Questions

Reasonable ones.

Do I need an account?

No. Start as a guest. Signing in with Google keeps your archive if you change phones, opens the feed and friends, and is needed to subscribe.

What happens to what I write?

It is sent to our AI providers to produce the result and kept in your private archive. Nothing is public unless you share it to the feed. The detail is in the Privacy Policy.
